Ira A. Silver, Ph.D. has been in the field of Business & Economic Analysis for over 20 years.
Currently, he is an independent business and economic consultant, Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Managerial Economics at TCU's M.J. Neeley School of Business, and Director of the Center for Business and Economic Forecasting.
Dr. Silver's previous position was Chief Economist at the JCPenney Company.
Before moving to Texas, Dr. Silver was a senior analyst at The Bank of New York. Also a veteran teacher, he has taught at colleges such as Baruch College, Fordham University, and The University of Texas at Dallas.
He has appeared before numerous professional groups and has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Fortune Magazine. Dr. Silver has a Ph.D. in Economics from the City University of New York and currently resides in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
